Just a thought.

Since it's also spin-off Sponge on the Run, could it be possible if Paramount Animation will be co-producing? --XSMan2016 (talk) 06:27, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is possible that Paramount Animation could be co-producing, BUT this statement must be supported by a reliable news source to validate its authenticity. Cardei012597 (talk) 08:09, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Gary will at least be a recurring character.

[edit]

I know Gary is not on The FutonCritic list or the announcements, but he is bound to be in Kamp Koral because of the trailers for Sponge on the Run. (Which Kamp Koral is spinning off from.) When Kamp Koral comes out, can Gary be added? It's weird to have everyone else but not Gary. He is cuter and funnier than Mr. Krabs Pearl and Plankton IMO. Supermariojaiden (talk) 22:59, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And as you've already been warned, that is WP:OR. It needs a source, otherwise it will be reverted. If you continue your disruptive editing/adding unsourced credits, you may be blocked from editing. Magitroopa (talk) 23:04, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't answer the question. Can Gary be added when Kamp Koral comes out? It's dumb having everyone else except him. Supermariojaiden (talk) 23:06, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
To answer Supermariojaiden's question, Gary the snail can be added ONLY if a reliable news source states that he will be in the series. More than likely, a reliable news source that contains the information on whether Gary will be in the series might not be published until after Kamp Koral is released. So to sum up, Gary the snail should only be added until a reliable news source specifically states he will appear in the series. If you can provide such a reliable news source, (HINT: Do NOT use IMDb as the source. IMDb is NOT reliable), Gary can be included. Cardei012597 (talk) 08:03, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 29 May 2020

[edit]

Hello. So, two eps from this show are confirmed and on May 12, 2020 a still frame from the show was released in ViacomCBS' upfront presentation, so i would like to add those in the article. 92.82.213.217 (talk) 14:54, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. - QuadColour (talk) 16:57, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"not done"? wdym? i didnt do anything — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.82.213.217 (talk) 19:17, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As it states, you need to provide reliable source(s) for this to be done. A source is needed in order to verify it. Magitroopa (talk) 19:20, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Source for the still frame from the show? Here: http://nickalive.blogspot.com/2020/05/first-look-at-kamp-koral-spongebobs.html (its the first one it showed on google but i think there are more) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.82.213.217 (talk) 22:04, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
NickALive is WP:NOTRS, meaning we'd need another/better source than that to use. See more at WP:RS about what would be a good source to use. Magitroopa (talk) 22:08, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to the Announcement Criticism section?

[edit]

There used to be a section on this page about the criticism this show received following its announcement due to Spongebob's creator stated that he did not wish for a spin-off to exist, especially one with the characters aged down. Many animators and other people affiliated with the original show were also critical of it. This is important enough to be featured on the wikipedia page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by VinceAdult (talkcontribs) 18:03, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Because it had sources that were WP:NOTRS. We need sources that are reliable, not a Twitter account that is assumed to belong to someone who works on the show. Magitroopa (talk) 18:08, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kamp Koral release date

[edit]

The show is probably not coming out in July 2020, since Vincent Waller on Twitter stating that COVID-19 was preventing several animation studios from being open, including the animation studio for this show.[1] Pierce2000 (talk) 00:52, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As with previous edits on the page as well as others such as SpongeBob SquarePants (season 12), the Twitter account is unverified. It cannot be used as a source. We're currently going by the sources/press releases that have been put out. Simply just removing it right now without any source and saying, "it's probably being delayed because of COVID-19 like Waller said" would just be plain WP:OR. Controversy

[edit]

When are we gonna add *that* back in? Skittishmarks (talk) 16:58, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah that needs to be added back in asap. a true corpo spit in stephens grave. there was huge outrage, a number of petitions were made122.58.17.91 (talk) 03:08, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sneak Peek

[edit]

FYI, the Sneak Peek aired during the NFL game a few days ago does not count as an 'episode' and certainly does not warrant an episode table or anything... It's fine to just be mentioned (like it currently is) in the production section. Magitroopa (talk) 19:18, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kamp Koral Image

[edit]

I think we should remove the character image because it adds space between Episodes and the actual graph. kpgamingz (rant me) 🐦 00:06, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I moved it to the left so the extra space goes away. SBSPfan (talk) 00:45, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Left align doesn't look too good. Especially when it made weird spacing for the character's names. kpgamingz (rant me🐦) 13:53, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading info

[edit]

The article says Vincent Waller created the concept of the show, so it's quite misleading for the article to say Stephen Hillenburg created this show when that's not true, in fact he disapproved spin-offs of his show. [1]

1. As it has been for sometime now, Waller's Twitter is WP:NOTRS.
2. Yet this is literally as the show credits it- it is not misleading, this is how he is indeed credited. [2]

So no, it is all correct. Magitroopa (talk) 02:08, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Correct - Though a man can change their opinion from a 2009 article, Waller isn't a verified user on Twitter making him unreliable on Wiki. If he were to be verified now, things may be different but since no reliable sources can confirm more about production information, it's best to leave things alone. kpgamingz (rant me) 04:01, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

POV incomplete

[edit]

Not sure if the POV for this article seems to be complete enough to perspective sufficient variety of occupations. The reception section in particular feels to be swayed too much by fanbases disfavoring Kamp Koral. We need more than just a few people from specific magazines that describe reception of Kamp Koral. More magazines would be nice to have, but we need other types of independent sources too. Qwertyxp2000 (talk | contribs) 02:46, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but since when did newspapers - not magazines - cease to become valid sources for Wikipedia? If they’re not enough, perhaps try adding the 29%/2.6 of 5 rating from Rotten Tomatoes, or the 3.6 of 10 from IMDB. Unless those aren’t representative enough? 82.2.236.23 (talk) 13:54, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing series overview box

[edit]

Can someone help me fix it? I tried to add it to the page because season 2 titles are on tvprofil, but it's not working Xery1234 (talk) 13:04, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Show which premiered in 2021 'created by' someone who passed away in 2018?

[edit]

I'm confused as to why Stephen Hillenburg is credited as the 'creator' of this show when there is no evidence he had anything to do with it. He is mentioned in the Production section but with no indication that he even wanted this show to be made. I've removed the mention of him in the opening paragraph of the article to reflect this.
